I was born to Holly and David on February 12, 1988 in Nashville, TN. My parents were young when they met and both were pretty rebellious. My dad joined the Navy soon after I was born. We moved to San Diego, CA when I was eight months old and lived there until I was five. From there we moved to Guam for three years. My dad got out of the Navy and took a job with the U.S. government moving us to Darien, Georgia when I was nine. My parents had another daughter, Elizabeth born May 28, 1998. These years are kind of a blur. I have more sad and lonely memories than good as a little girl. My dad was physically, emotionally, and verbally abusive to my mom. Our home environment was like walking on egg shells. My sister and I saw a lot of the abuse that my mom went through, and we feared as a little girls if we would wake up to our mom being dead.
When I was thirteen years old, I was diagnosed with VonWillebrands disease. When I started my menstrual cycle, I would bleed anywhere from 10-20 days. This was a very dark time in my life. I had a very unstable home life. I battled with depression and insecurities leading me down a very troubled path. Shortly, after my diagnosis, I started drinking and doing drugs. I looked for love in all the wrong places. I was home bound from school most of my high school years due to doctor and hospital visits.
